The EMB-3500 is a motherboard with an ARM based Freescale Cortex A9 i.MX6 1GHz Solo, Dual, or Quad Core processor and has a 1GB DDR3 RAM and NAND flash. This ARM based Nano-ITX motherboard is ultra-compact, only measuring in at 120mm x 120mm (4.72″ x 4.72″). Along with it’s low-power and high performance processor, the EMB-3500 also has a number of different I/O. The ARM based board supports 1x dual channel 24bit LVDS,1x  HDMI, 1x VGA port, 2x Gigabit LAN, 2x CAN, 1x SATA2, 12x RS-232, 1x 485/232, 5x USB 2.0, 1x USB (OTG), up to 40pin GPIO interface, and can be extended camera module. The EMB-3500 is a stable and reliable industrial-grade multimedia player that can be used for a range of applications ranging from advanced human to machine interfaces, data acquisition, point of sale, vehicle telemetry, digital signage, industrial automation, building controls and connected appliances. Additionally, the flexibility of this board makes it ideal not only for OEM/ODM projects, but also for hobbyists, modders and the DIY crowd. The Nano-ITX platform allows it to be space saving, having a small foot print, but at the same time have enough real estate for some serious I/O. The EMB-3500 is built to industrial standards so you can run it in a factory, but it’s cost effective enough to run as a media streamer in your living room.
