BIS-6625 Watch YouTube Video

HABEY USA, an Associate member of the Intel® Embedded Alliance and leading designer and manufacturer of industrial PCs, today is pleased to release the BIS-6625-IV HDMI ultra compact connected embedded computer developed around the latest Intel® Embedded Atom E600 Series System-on-Chip (SoC).

With processor thermal design power (TDP) of no more than 4.5W, the BIS-6625 features Intel's GMA600 GPU that support full hardware acceleration of H.264, MPEG4, VC1, WMV, and Adobe Flash high definition videos. Using Intel's Media and Graphics Driver, the Intel E6XX supports hardware accelerated Adobe Flash Player 10.1/10.2 on select flavors of Linux (BIS-6625 playing HD YouTube video on Linux Meego) and can handle more than one instance of Adobe Flash Player plug-in being hardware accelerated on Windows 7*. The system also performs advanced 3D rendering and hardware accelerated encoding of MPEG4 part 2 and H.264 up to 720p. The BIS-6625’s Intel Atom E600 platform supports embedded operating systems including Android* 2.3, MeeGo* 1.2, Fedora* 14, and Microsoft* Windows* XP/Embedded Standard 2009, Embedded Compact 7, and Windows* 7/Embedded Standard 7.

  Product Highlight

On a footprint of only 5” x 5” in size, the BIS-6625 maximizes the connectivity with two Gigabit Ethernet ports for high speed networking, three mini-PCIe slots (two of three with SIM card sockets) ready for wireless and 3G/4G connectivity and four COM ports for serial communication.  It also packs within, a CAN bus header, to support IEEE 1588 in-vehicle, industrial automation and medical device data transmission.

“We are connected more and more to the world around us.  Embedded computers for applications such as communication devices, industrial appliances and automobiles, is rapidly changing the way we live and work.  People are demanding more and more features and computing power of the once dedicated, special purpose embedded systems.  One way to reduce the size and cost of these anticipated smart devices and increase the reliability and performance is to break Moore’s Law, distributing processing power by providing maximum connectivity while retaining the flexibility of rich I/Os to the embedded computers.” said Bin Lin, COO with Habey USA.

To enhance performance under vibration and shock, the BIS-6625 industrial embedded system adopts a rugged fanless enclosure with onboard processor and onboard DDR2 memory adding capabilities of uninterrupted data transmission and control under -10 ºC 0~60ºC temperatures. The unique ultra compact fanless enclosure design includes Bolt-Thru holes for standard 100x100mm VESA mount; make it easier to mount on flat panel monitors, TVs, and walls without extra brackets.

Blending maximum connectivity, rich interfaces, fanless and rugged design,  the BIS-6625's industrial grade embedded board, SSD (solid-state drive) support, HDMI or VGA display interface, full featured I/Os and ultra-compact fanless enclosure design make it perfect for a range of applications including digital signage, intelligent kiosks, industrial control, POS, traffic management, medical clinical instruments, smart M2M devices, digital security and surveillance, railway applications, and "build your own embedded system" applications.
